This is my third child so I have experience with breast milk and formula. This is a new product which I havent used with my other children. My first son was formula fed with the enfamil lipil w/ iron (not the newborn as it hadn't come out yet) and my second son was only breast fed. I noticed this formula to be very gentle on my baby's stomach. My first son had no stomach issues or colic but he always spit up a lot of formula and it had a bad smell (when spit up and when burped) and left a yellow stain. This newborn brand does not cause any major spit up or any smell, and no staining. I also noticed his bowel movements are more yellow seedy which resembles breast fed babies and not formula fed babies. And the BMs are not that smelly, slight sour smell but not horrible.

This book is much better than I expected. It reviews all the sections and covers anything you could come across on the PCAT. The sections are concise, but still detailed and explained clearly. Despite a few minor errors (nothing I couldn't figure out on my own), the exercises are very helpful, but do not reflect actual test questions like the practice tests do. The back of the book also contains some very nice study/cheat sheets which the summarize information for a quick review. My only complaint is that there are only two practice exams, but even if you have access to other practice exams, I would highly recommend this book for a thorough review of the subjects tested on the PCAT. Skip the expensive Kaplan review courses and study with the book, which is well worth the money.
